Lyn Shaffer is a lifelong educator turned novelist whose love of storytelling began at the bedsides of her children during nighttime tuck-ins and later deepened in the classroom where she spent seventeen years teaching English at the middle school, high school, and college levels. She later served as a principal, district technology administrator, and college professor. After twenty-five years in education, she retired in 2024, returning to her first passion: writing stories that explore the tender complexities of our  human connection.
 
​Lyn lives in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, where the region’s layered histories and quiet tensions inspire her work. When she isn’t writing, she’s reading, practicing yoga, painting, or spending cherished time with her family and friends—especially her grandchildren, who remind her daily why stories matter.
